PPP 2.0 - Questions

On Wednesday, January 13, the community financial institutions (above lenders) as defined by the Small Business Act—may begin making second-draw PPP loans.

However, you may begin to prepare” SBA has provided updated forms to apply for PPP 2.0. If you are a first time PPP participant, you will want to use SBA Form 2483. If you participated in round 1 of the PPP and are seeking another PPP loan, you will want to use SBA Form 2483-SD.

Stimulus Package - Update

Source: https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/treasury-and-irs-begin-delivering-second-round-of-economic-impact-payments-to-millions-of-americans

The Internal Revenue Service and the Treasury Department will begin delivering a second round of Economic Impact Payments as part of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 to millions of Americans who received the first round of payments earlier this year.

The initial direct deposit payments may begin arriving on December 29, 2020.

IRS Error May Result in Inaccurate EIP Status Data: As a result of an Internal Revenue Service error last week, 15-20 million individuals of the 112 million who were expected to receive their economic impact payments through ACH transactions will receive payments via paper check. The IRS is preparing to open its Get My Payment portal to allow individuals to view their EIP status as soon as today, and it was unclear as of this morning (January 4, 2020) whether the portal will tell affected recipients now getting a check that they have received an ACH payment.

For more information about the payments, information will be posted on IRS.gov/eip
